FloFest 2024: Flotek's Annual Celebration of Success and Teamwork
Flotek Group, a Leading IT & Comms Managed Service provider, were pleased to host its 2024 FloFest event, which comes after celebrating its second Anniversary.
Flotek Group was founded by Jay Ball, Dave Middleton and Malcolm Holland in 2022, and has experienced rapid growth since its inception. Craig Jones and Phillip Emanuel later joined the company, beginning their journey with a dedicated team of three directors. The company’s rapid expansion is a testament to their creative approach to simplifying IT and communications for UK small to medium-sized businesses.
Introduction to FloFest 2024
On July 13th, Flotek Group celebrated its annual event, FloFest, which is designed to celebrate team accomplishments and foster a sense of community. Key suppliers and sponsors also joined in the fun to acknowledge their contributions to Flotek Group.
This year’s event was even more significant as it marked the second anniversary of the event and Flotek Group’s recent two-year business anniversary.
In honour of the team’s hard work, FloFest produces a fun and relaxing atmosphere that bonds the team and demonstrates the company’s appreciation of the support from its employees’ families.
Flotek Group CEO and founder, Jay Ball, has previously expressed his gratitude to the team for their dedication, with the Flotek Group seen as ‘the Purple Army’.
Highlights of FloFest 2024
This year’s FloFest was a tremendous success, kicking off the summer in style with a variety of exciting features and activities. The event’s success was largely due to the hard work and dedication of The Culture Club, a group of volunteers who played a pivotal role in organising the celebration.
The Culture Club at Flotek Group was established to ensure that each site has representatives responsible for organising activities and celebrations for the hard-working team, fostering a sense of community and engagement throughout the company.
The event began in the early afternoon, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the day’s celebrations. Attendees enjoyed a barbecue and ice cream from an ice cream van – offering everyone a sweet treat on a summer’s day.
FloFest got into full swing with music performances from two bands, adding a festive touch to the event. This was followed by the Flo Olympics, which brought excitement with interactive games such as tug of war and sack races, fostering camaraderie and friendly competition among team members.
The festivities at FloFest concluded with more delicious food served in the evening, including bacon rolls and vegetarian options. The event wrapped up with a lively karaoke session, providing a perfect end to a memorable day.

Reflections on Flotek’s Achievements
An established company with a turnover of £12 million and recently celebrating its second anniversary, Flotek Group has successfully achieved many milestones. This includes 11 acquisitions and an increase to 86 employees since it began. Additionally, Flotek’s customer base has grown to over 2,000 clients with the company continuing to build strong partnerships with major brands such as Marriott, Microsoft, Kaseya and Yealink.
2024 has been an exciting year for Flotek Group so far filled with key achievements including becoming an authorised installer and partner of premier data & fibre cabling brand, CommScope. Another achievement for Flotek Group is becoming a Gold partner of SonicWall.
Vision for the Next Few Years
Looking ahead to the future, Flotek Group aims to double its size and revenue within the next two years, maintaining its commitment to culture and values. The company plans to expand its employee headcount for next year’s FloFest by 50%, aligning with its long-term growth targets. Flotek is dedicated to continuing its focus on customer experience and is pleased to introduce new roles, such as the recent Customer Experience Manager position.
