Meet the Purple Army

Jay is a serial entrepreneur who launched his first tech company at 21, scaled it successfully, and exited by 34. After some time recharging in Cyprus, he returned to the UK with a clear mission: to build an innovative tech business that brings IT and Communications together—with a team that shares in its success through an EMI scheme. Jay leads the company’s acquisitions strategy and has a strong focus on sales and technology. A self-confessed AI geek, he’s often found building bots and exploring the latest in artificial intelligence. Outside of work, Jay is a property investor, a certified Divemaster, and a proud husband and dad to two daughters, Macey and Rosie. In classic Jay style, the family dog is named “Dave” after the company’s finance director.

Malcolm, an experienced Managing Director, has held key leadership roles, including Operation Director and Service Director, within a thriving 100-million-Pound business. He notably led a 15-member team during the Rona sailing project. In business, his mantra is 'standardise, simplify, and automate.' Malcolm's commitment to professional growth is evident through his completion of numerous management courses, including '7 Habits of Highly Effective Leaders,' IPECS Technical training, and Customer Service NVQ level 3/4. He also holds a Business Leadership NVQ Level 4 certification. Out of hours, Malcolm has a season ticket with Charlton Athletic and travel with his family abroad.

Our FD Dave spent the first ten years of his career working at a multi-national accountancy firm, where he qualified as an ICAEW accountant, followed by a boutique corporate finance advisory firm specialising in the ICT & Telecoms sector. In the latter role, Dave worked closely with owner-managed businesses, assisting in strategic reviews, raising investment and selling their businesses. When not in front of a spreadsheet, Dave's a foodie and self confessed coffee snob, making his way around the many Chester food spots with his wife Sarah. Their weekends typically revolve around Peak Sandwiches, Formula 1 and their two cats Jay and Rosie - one of which is named after our CEO (yes...really)

Phillip, Our seasoned Group Telecoms Director, brings forth over two decades of telecom industry expertise, complemented by a distinguished military service in the Royal Navy. His entrepreneurial journey includes successfully establishing Cloud9ine Communications, which was subsequently acquired by Flotek. Phillip thrives in demanding and intricate environments, relentlessly pursuing personal growth and staying updated with industry trends through various certifications, including MS-720, IPECS advanced and cloud engineer qualifications, Unify OpenScape Solution Engineer, and multiple NVQ certifications. In Phillip’s spare time, he spends time with his family, buying new tech and watching Wales playing rugby.

Craig has been passionate about technology from a young age, building a career in tech that has spanned over 25 years of experience and expertise. Craig previously served as Technical Director at a South Wales based technology firm, where he played a key role in driving innovation and operational excellence. After spending a few years in France, enjoying a well-earned break, he returned to the UK with renewed focus and ambition. Now, as a Board Member at Flotek, Craig is dedicated to technology and strategic leadership to shape the company's future. Beyond work, Craig enjoys the simple joys of life—family, barbecuing, and soaking up the sunshine. As a dedicated husband and proud father, he values time spent with loved ones, finding the perfect balance between professional excellence and personal fulfilment.

Meet Wayne Jones, Group Sales Director at Flotek and a seasoned leader in managed IT and print services. Wayne is the former Managing Director of OES in North Wales and transitioned into his current role following its successful acquisition and integration. With a deep passion for technology and customer education, Wayne thrives on empowering clients through learning and innovation. Wayne brings extensive industry expertise and a strong service ethos, shaped by his earlier career in the British Army. His leadership skills are unparalleled, guiding teams to achieve exceptional results and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Wayne's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction is evident in every project he undertakes, always striving to exceed client expectations and deliver outstanding results. Outside of work, Wayne is a devoted husband to Laura and a proud parent to Chelsea, Darcie, and Archie. A keen fly fisherman, he often competes at the highest level, having represented Wales numerous times and been crowned individual and team European champion.

Stuart boasts two decades of Telecoms expertise, putting his knowledge and experience to practice as Head of Sales at Flotek Group. Fortified by a Leadership qualification from ILM. He wielded influence as BNI Networking President for two years and fostered collaborations within NHS Procurement alongside Orthotics companies over the past three years. His journey led him to Wales in 2012, sparked by a chance encounter with his wife during a rugby trip with Scotland. Beyond his professional endeavors, Stuart immerses himself in the Welsh Premier County's pool scene. His pursuit for an active lifestyle is evident through his passion for running half and full marathons. Currently tackling a monumental 1088-mile challenge from Lands End to John O'Groats, he's raised over £30,000 for charitable causes along the way.

Michael, an Account Manager renowned for his customer-centric approach, boasts 15 years of invaluable experience with Gower Business Systems, ascending from a Systems Engineer to his current role before the company was acquired by Flotek. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, his expertise is rooted in a solid educational foundation. Beyond his professional endeavors, Michael cherishes moments with loved ones, passionately dedicating his spare time to enjoying holidays and fostering connections with friends and family.

Saleem, a Senior Account Manager, possesses an insatiable appetite for learning innovative technology, eagerly embracing new knowledge and skills. He thrives on connecting with diverse individuals, bringing a serious commitment to his job. Saleem is passionate about leveraging technology to overcome challenges and consistently strives to exceed expectations. Out of hours, Saleem watches Arsenal, enjoy the great outdoors, going on walks and spending time with his family.

Outside of work, James is a proud papa to two amazing children. A former RNLI Helmsman, he brings the same calm leadership and reliability to his professional life.

Harry Almond is an experienced and dedicated Head of Sales with a strong background in client relations. Before stepping into his current role, he spent five years as a Senior Account Manager at OES, where he developed his skills in managing key accounts and developing lasting partnerships. Harry has a real passion for bringing new clients on board and takes great satisfaction in fostering positive, long-term relationships with them. Outside of work, Harry is all about balance. He loves to unwind by going on holidays and exploring new places. As a lifelong Liverpool FC fan, you'll often find him cheering them on, whether it’s at the stadium or from the comfort of his own home.

Being from Swansea, Jake has local knowledge that allows him to utilise regional expertise to identify opportunities. He is client-centric, which helps build and maintain strong client relationships. As a team collaborator, he believes working as a team is crucial for executing strategies and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Swansea University. In his spare time, Jake enjoys sports, exploring the countryside, and playing online games.

Claire is the Client Relations Manager at Flotek Group, where she plays a key role in supporting Account Managers and ensuring clients receive accurate, timely quotations and exceptional service. She works closely with teams across the business to deliver tailored support and solutions, helping clients get the most from Flotek’s offerings. Daniel, a seasoned marketing professional, has navigated his career journey from an apprentice and assistant to his current role as a proficient Marketing Manager. Armed with credentials such as A-Z 900 and a BSc in Cyber Security, Mark embodies expertise in his field. Beyond the tech domain, Mark finds solace in his pursuits, embracing the challenges of CrossFit and leisurely walks with his dogs alongside his wife.

She also holds a hair extension qualification on the side. Outside of work, Holly is an avid reader who sets herself an annual target of 40 books (and is already 16 books in this year). She's a big family person, with her nephew and niece firmly cast as her little sidekicks, and a true animal lover — from horses and ducks to Springer Spaniels — and former owner of a real-life Aristocats Marie (sass included). She's also seen Elton John live.

Finlay joins Flotek as a Business Development Executive, bringing a strong track record from the office supplies industry where he sold everything from stationery to furniture, and was the youngest Executive at his last company — picking up the most new business achieved in his last role for 2025 along the way. He was also a finalist in the Cardiff Business Awards for Young Business Person of the Year. A massive family person, Finlay spends most of his time with his partner Emily, has played football since he was 5, and considers holidays a huge part of his life.

He then transitioned into a Managed Service Provider (MSP) role, broadening his skills in IT service delivery. Following a relocation to Plymouth, Alexander specialised in laptop repairs and refurbishments before returning to the MSP sector with Flotek, where he currently contributes to delivering reliable IT solutions. Now in the tech world, he’s trained on Develop, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, and Sharp machines, with advanced certification on production systems. He’s also a certified Outward Associate and always keen to keep learning. Outside of work, Darren enjoys watching rugby and spending time with his two daughters.

David joined Flotek driven by a strong passion for technology—something that goes beyond his professional role and is deeply rooted in personal interest. For him, working in IT is not just a job, but a fulfilling pursuit where he can make a real, positive impact on people's daily challenges. With several years of experience in the IT industry, David has previously worked with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and in Microsoft 365 support, where he gained in-depth knowledge and sharpened his technical skills. Now, he continues to expand his expertise across various industries with Flotek, embracing new opportunities for growth. With several IT accreditations from Microsoft and CompTIA—and aspirations to earn more—David is committed to advancing his technical skills. George Kellett is a Citrix Certified Professional in Virtualization (CCP-V) with over eight years of experience in the IT sector. From a young age, George developed a deep fascination with technology - a curiosity that evolved into a passion for building and optimising IT solutions. He began his professional journey at Microshade VSM, where he supported customers and maintained critical infrastructure. With extensive expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems, enterprise networking, and infrastructure management, George is dedicated to solving complex challenges with innovative solutions. Now, as part of Flotek following the recent acquisition, he is excited to embark on this new chapter. He has held a variety of key roles including Field Engineer, Helpdesk Manager, Support Team Manager, and Software Training Manager. John's deep industry knowledge and practical approach have made him a trusted professional in delivering effective technical support and training. Outside of work, John enjoys watching Rugby Union, walking his dog, cooking, dining out, listening to music, and most of all, spending quality time with his grandchildren.

John joined OES, now Flotek, just over three years ago, bringing experience from the waste management and frozen food manufacturing industries, where he held various management roles. Now focused on stock control, he also supports engineers with copier installs and prepares machines for delivery. Outside of work, John enjoys camping and caravanning, and is a dedicated Everton fan with season tickets shared with family or friends.

Judith brings years of experience in the print industry. Over time, she has earned a reputation as a dependable and adaptable team player, often stepping into various roles, including accounts, whenever the need arises. Colleagues frequently describe her as calm and friendly, and she consistently approaches challenges with a steady, can-do attitude. Outside of her professional life, Judith’s world revolves around her grandchildren, with whom she cherishes spending quality time. A passionate football fan, she proudly holds a season ticket with the Mighty Blues of Everton FC.

Lewis, an IT Field Delivery Engineer, embodies qualities of thoroughness, determination, enthusiasm, resilience, and thoughtfulness when working on customer sites. His education includes a Qualification in ICT and CompTIA 1101-1102 certifications, which complement his dedication to delivering exceptional IT solutions. In his spare time, Lewis enjoys social outings with friends and family with the weekends dedicated to cheering on Cardiff City.

David is passionate about providing excellent IT Support IT support and has done so for over 30 years, including providing global support for the company which developed many of the fibre broadband technologies that run the Internet today. After working on several very prestigious accounts including Ministry of Defence, National Health Service, and in the German finance sector, David co-founded and took the role of Technical Director at Microshade VSM, as a vehicle to bring excellent IT service and cloud computing into the Local Council sector. In his role at Flotek, David is keen to see application of Microshade’s hosting service develop in exciting new directions. David spends much of his free time and disposable income learning and dancing Argentine Tango. David is also a qualified Freediver.

His transition into IT started at Flotek, where he quickly progressed from running IT operations to earning his A+ certification and becoming an IT Engineer. After passing his Network+ certification, Richard moved into a Projects role, continuing to grow his expertise and impact within the company. Married and family-oriented, Richard enjoys holidays with loved ones and unwinding with a good Netflix series.

Matt, a Project Manager with a strong focus on IT, boasts a rich background in IT sales and IT Technician roles. His specialisation lies in the migration of Exchange servers to Microsoft, with a notable accomplishment being the EMEA consolidation of 17 servers into a central repository while preserving relevant country-specific meta data. Matt is a dedicated team player who places a high value on collaboration and hard work. He embraces the Agile project management style and holds a First-Class Honours BSc in Game Design and Computer Coding from Plymouth University. Out of hours, matt is captain & defence coach for the Plymouth Bolts, an American Touch Football Team, and Watch Manchester City & Toronto Raptors.
